Trail Condition Report

Jasper National Park of Canada

Updated: July-22-17

A fire ban has been issued for Jasper National Park due to elevated fire danger and smoke. Lighting or maintaining fires in these areas is now strictly prohibited. The restriction will be lifted as soon as conditions permit. Report any wildfires, illegal campfires, or suspicious smoke to Jasper Dispatch 780-852-6155.

Backcountry trails: CAUTION! Late winter conditions at higher elevations. Levels in water streams may be higher than usual making some crossings challenging or unsafe.

You are in Bear Country! Always keep a safe distance away from wildlife. Use standard bear precautions: be alert, make noise when biking or hiking, travel in groups, carry bear spray and know how to use it. Stay at least 100 metres (or 10 bus lengths) away from bears and other carnivores.

For more information, please contact 780-852-6176.
