July 22 | Ghost Walk with David Goss

“The Ghost of Daniel Keymore and Saint John West Ghost Tales”

Your guide on this 90-minute walk will be Daniel Keymore, a ghost himself since drowning in the harbour in 1889. Hear his story and the stories of many other ghostly experiences he’s aware of in the territory between the tower and the harbour. Other characters will help him share these tales as you walk a circular route on streets surrounding the venerable Carleton Martello Tower. Advance registration is suggested to ensure a space (maximum 30) by calling 506-636-4011. Payment of $7.30 for adults, $4.90 for youth should be made at the Visitor Centre by 8:20 pm so the walk can start on time at 8:30 pm. Don’t forget to bring along your flashlight and wear comfortable shoes.

In case of rain, an alternate program will be presented in the Visitor Centre. If possible, a portion of the walk will be done outside, so come prepared for some wet weather, and then a retreat will be made inside for some stories and spooky video presentations.

August 18 10 am to 2 pm | Tall Ships Viewing Party

Bring your binoculars and a picnic to watch the passage of tall ships into the port of Saint John. Enjoy the panoramic views from the grounds of the Carleton Martello Tower National Historic Site overlooking the port and uptown Saint John. Children can draw their own flag of privateers! Entry is free.
