Address

Laurier House National Historic Site is located at 335 Laurier Ave. East in Ottawa.

By car

From HWY. 417 (the Queensway), take exit 118 for Nicholas street/Lees Avenue. (If coming from the eastbound direction of the Queensway, you must turn left onto Lees Ave). Turn right onto Mann Avenue, then left on Chapel Street. Laurier House is on the corner of Laurier Avenue East and Chapel Street.

From Gatineau, Quebec, head south on HWY. #5 (Autoroute de Gatineau) across the Macdonald-Cartier Bridge to King Edward Avenue. Continue south on King Edward Ave to Rideau Street. Turn left on Rideau Street, then make a right turn on to Chapel Street. Laurier House is located on the corner of Chapel Street and Laurier Avenue East.

Parking

There is no on site parking at Laurier House. There is street parking nearby. Please note the time limits posted.

On foot

The walking distance from Parliament Hill to Laurier House Site is just over 2 kilometres (1 mile) through the University of Ottawa campus.

Cycling

To find the best route to Laurier House, consult City of Ottawa's cycling map.

There are several scenic routes to Laurier House, including through the University of Ottawa or through the Sandy Hill neighbourhood, an attractive heritage conservation district Bicycle parking is provided on site at Laurier House.

Public transit

OC Transpo provides excellent bus service to Laurier House. It is about a 10 minute ride directly to Laurier House on the Number 5 bus, leaving from the War Memorial at the corner of Wellington and Elgin Streets in downtown Ottawa.
