Jasper National Park offers two group campgrounds to choose from: Marmot Meadows and Whirlpool group camping. Both sites include large areas perfect for tenting, games and special activities for many people.
Group campgrounds are most ideal for visitors with large groups such as a Scouts trips, school trips, outdoor clubs or family reunions.
Located just 2 km south of the town of Jasper and situated in Whistlers campground, Marmot Meadows can accommodate up to a maximum of 150 people ($5.80 per person). This tent only group site offers the following amenities: two shared cook shelters, washrooms, hot and cold running water, bear-proof storage lockers and fire pits (permit $8.80 per pit, per day).
Open early May to mid-October, booking begins January 1.
Whirlpool group camping
If you are looking for a rustic, riverside and alpine rich campsite that can accommodate exclusive use for one group, then Whirlpool group camping is for you! This drive-in campsite is convenient for day time events/barbeques as well as overnight camping.
Note: The Whirlpool Group Campground season in 2018 will be shortened due to construction on Highway 93A (Wabasso Road). The campground will be available for booking from May 3 to July 28, 2018.
