Come to the edge!

Spend some quality time on the Wild West coast, where land, sea and sky meet. At the same time, help Parks Canada’s conservation efforts. What could be better?

The goal will be to collect as many species observations as possible over a 24-hour period, so both terrestrial and marine environments will be surveyed to include a wide variety of habitats. We will be searching for everything from intertidal and marine life, to bugs and plants of the coastal temperate rainforest, to the unique species that live in bogs and sand dunes. We will be offering many fun and interactive programs, including drop-in educational booths, casual activities suitable for families, and day and night surveys led by plant and animal experts.

Best of all, Pacific Rim National Park Reserve's BioBlitz offers the chance to make lasting memories while contributing to species observations in one of the most beautiful places on earth!

Choose what works for YOU.

Register as a participant, volunteer survey leader, and more! Then choose the activities that suit you, your friends and your family – drop in to basecamp for casual family activities, or to sign up for scheduled species surveys.
