Maritime Music and Culture at the Bay of Fundy
Epic tides and pristine forests aren’t the only draws at Fundy. The park is also a great place to experience the culture and music of Atlantic Canada.
Every weekend in July and August, Fundy hosts the Sounds of Summer music series. To the familiar chorus of crickets and crackling campfires are added the sounds of guitars and fiddles as some of the Maritime region’s finest local musicians perform the music that the area is so well known for.
The cultural highlight of the summer is the Rising Tide Festival, held near the end of August every year. This unique event puts not only the music but also the food and art of Atlantic Canada in the spotlight. Some of New Brunswick’s finest artisans and musicians come together for one weekend to dazzle visitors with the rich talent and creativity of Canada’s Maritime provinces.
