Camping is one of the best ways to truly experience and appreciate Cape Breton Highlands National Park on the Cabot Trail!

Camping is available from May 19 to October 29, 2017.

There are six front country campgrounds and one backcountry campground to choose from, each unique in its own way. Visitors who camp for seven or more consecutive nights will receive a 15% discount.

Cape Breton Highlands National Park now offers 20 oTENTiks between the Chéticamp, Ingonish Beach and Broad Cove campgrounds!  Part tent, part cabin, the oTENTik allows you to enjoy all the excitement of camping outdoors, while providing a soft bed and a cozy roof over your head.

Chéticamp Campground and Ingonish Beach Campground also offer five reservable equipped campsites each.

oTENTik

Interior of oTENTik

Sleep in an oTENTik: part tent, part cabin.

Imagine opening up your front door to the wonders of Cape Breton Highlands National Park. You’ll enjoy all the excitement of camping outdoors, but this time with a soft bed and a cozy roof over your head.

We’ve got you covered with oTENTiks in three beautiful, forested campgrounds: Chéticamp, Broad Cove and Ingonish Beach. Step inside your roomy home and enjoy the beautiful, raised, level flooring. Six foam mattresses are arranged in bunks for cushy comfort. Just lay out your own sleeping bag or bedding. Bring some dishes and tasty barbecue food to cook on your campsite’s open-air grill, or grab yummy takeout from the nearby communities, and have dinner at your site.

Fall asleep to the sound of river waters lapping the shores at Chéticamp. Walk to the sandy beach at the foot of Broad Cove or at Ingonish Beach. And the spectacular hiking trails that drew you here are just minutes away on foot or by car.

Water taps and washrooms with showers are located nearby.
