    For National Indigenous Peoples Day, take part in a traditional Algonquin ceremony, also known as a pow-wow.

    On the agenda: A blessing ceremony, the unveiling of a temporary exhibition of indigenous artifacts, a meeting with Parks Canada archaeologist Michel Plourde, a hand-drumming performance, dances and songs by members of the Timiskaming First Nation, and a tasting of Algonquin bites.

    Parks Canada's national collection of precious historical objects is on display all summer long at Obadjiwan-Fort-Témiscamingue National Historic Site.

    On the agenda: Come and admire never-before-seen artifacts such as indigenous conical ornaments, arrowheads and glass beads.

    This temporary exhibition runs from June 21 to September 2, 2024 only, so act fast!
