Picnicking

Batoche National Historic Site

Great weather is a great excuse to eat outdoors! Pack a picnic and find one of the areas with picnic tables located in front of the Visitor Reception Area. Find the shade trees of the Caron Home or the lookout gazebo located a short walk from the end of the boardwalk for a special spot to take a lunch break. If you want to go a bit further ride the shuttle to the East Village’s new picnic area, also complete with picnic tables.

Feeling like a little walk? Venture out to the red chairs. Enjoy the view of the lush river valley as you eat your lunch. While you are there take a selfie! Do not forget to share the photo with us on Twitter with #sharethechair

We ask you to remember that open fires, barbecues, etcetera, are not permitted.
