Pets must be leashed and under control at all times in Rouge National Urban Park.

Parks Canada Law Enforcement and Compliance teams will be actively patrolling popular areas throughout the 2024 operating season to ensure all pets are leashed. Visitors who do not comply with these regulations may face penalties and/or fines.

Leashing your pets and staying on designated trails helps to protect wildlife, preserve park vegetation, and minimize risks such as tick-borne diseases and other hazards. This no tolerance enforcement campaign aims to create a safe and enjoyable environment for both pets and visitors.

We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to following park regulations. Enjoy your visit and thank you for keeping your pets leashed for their safety and the safety of others.
