Plan my learning
Parks Canada is now using the Public Service Management Application (PSPM application) as its formal performance review tool and process. If you do not have network access and you cannot record your performance agreement within the PSPM Application, you may use the Word version of the performance agreement as a guide to record your performance agreement. Once you are able, please ensure that the information is recorded in the PSPM Application and signed-off.

Essential actions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds;
- Cough or sneeze into the bend of your arm or a tissue and dispose of your used tissues;
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands;
- Avoid close contact with others and maintain a distance of two meters;
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick, self-monitor for symptoms and stay home if you are sick.
- Wear a non-medical mask or face covering (i.e. constructed to completely cover the nose and mouth without gaping, and secured to the head by ties or ear loops) to protect the people and surfaces around you.
Travel
The health and safety of the Parks Canada Team is of the utmost priority and guides all decisions during the Covid-19 Pandemic. It is recognized that, to support critical services, as well as key cultural and natural conservations projects, IT related work etc., travel will be required by Parks Canada employees. Travel, particularly with overnight implications (hotels, backcountry cabins, staff accommodations etc.) will be approved on an exceptional basis.

Free crisis response training programs for essential workers
The Mental Health Commission of Canada has developed two free crisis response training programs for essential workers, Crisis Response training - Caring for Yourself and Crisis Response training - Caring for your Team. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, essential workers are facing a number of new challenges while at work, which may be affecting their mental health. These programs are specifically designed to help provide individuals with the tools and knowledge to better understand their own mental health and the mental health of their team.

Guidance included in this section will remain in effect until further notice, or as otherwise indicated by the Agency. This may occur at different times across the country, in accordance with instructions from public health authorities. Note for Managers and Directors: “Other Leave with Pay” Code 699 will be recorded on a daily basis by the Field Unit Superintendent (FUS) or Director and sent to the Corporate Labour Relations mailbox once a week by close of business (COB) Fridays. Reporting will cover Saturday to COB Friday. An excel spreadsheet template is provided. All other types of leave will be submitted using normal procedures. |
