Cap de Bon-Désir Interpretation and Observation Centre
Saguenay–St. Lawrence Marine Park
The Cap-de-Bon-Désir Interpretation and Observation Centre invites you to discover the lighthouse station and the whales that frequent the Saguenay–St. Lawrence Marine Park.
Upon arrival, explore the lighthouse station where the keepers and their families lived. With its light visible from a great distance, the lighthouse ensures the safety of navigators travelling the St. Lawrence.
Then, go to the coast by following the Harbour Porpoise Trail (375 m) and let yourself be enchanted by the panorama. From the rocks and the lookout, you can gaze at the horizon and observe the marine mammals that come to feed within a few metres from you. You will have the opportunity to see several species of whales, seals, as well as a wide variety of seabirds. Open your eyes wide… and your ears!
