Safety
To have a safe visit, please observe the following:
- The Officers’ Quarters Museum, the public washrooms, and pathways are wheelchair accessible.
- Use caution on the steep, grassed hills (earth walls).
- Watch for low doorways and uneven steps.
- Please carefully supervise young children.
The grounds are open year-round. There is no winter maintenance.
Visitor guidelines
Drones
All Parks Canada places are "no drone zones" for recreational use. Please leave your drone at home. Use of drones at Parks Canada places
Metal detectors
It is prohibited to use a metal detector within Fort Anne and Fort Charles National Historic Sites.
Pets
Pets on a leash are permitted on the grounds.
Only service animals are allowed in the museum.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in the buildings.
No camping
Camping is not permitted at Fort Anne National Historic Site.
There is camping nearby at Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site.
