Harvest Moon trail

Linking Grand-Pré National Historic Site to Fort-Anne National Historic Site, the Harvest Moon Trailway is a 110 km trail, running through Grand-Pré, and constructed along the old “Land of Evangeline Route” of the Dominion Atlantic Railway.

As you travel from Grand-Pré to Annapolis Royal, you will have the chance of seeing up close apple orchards, farmers’ fields as well as pass over two railway bridges. Biking along the towns of Wolfville, Kentville and Berwick, is a unique experience.

Even if the majority of the Harvest Moon Trail is shared use, the trail section leaving Grand-Pré to Cambridge Station, as well as the Annapolis Royal Section do NOT permit motorized vehicles. Users of the Harvest Moon Trail must park at the designated parking, 2242 Grand-Pré Road, up and across the NHS. This parking is only a few feet  from the official trail head.

The Harvest Moon Trailway is accessible during all seasons. Fall presents a full array of spectacular foliage colors and orchard and vineyard activity along the trail. Winter provides enjoyment for cross country skiers, snowmobilers, snow‐ showers, and hikers.e
