Parks Canada is requesting information from experienced individuals, organizations and interested parties who may be interested in the opportunity for the development, operation, and maintenance of a bike rental to be operated at Fort George National Historic Site, located in Niagara-on-Lake, Ontario.

Goals

Parks Canada is considering entering into a Licence Agreement with an operator to maintain, develop and operate a bike rental located at a parking lot within Fort George National Historic Site.

Parks Canada is also looking to explore how this opportunity can integrate with local Parks Canada administered National Historic Sites to help offer diverse and engaging ways to experience history.

The purpose of issuing this Request for Expression of Interest (RFEI) is to:

• Determine the level of market interest
• Provide the industry with an opportunity to comment on the potential opportunity.

This RFEI is being completed to gauge industry’s interest in the proposed project and to provide Parks Canada the opportunity to present additional details of the project and address questions and/or issues/concerns from the industry.

This RFEI is not a request for proposals or an invitation to tender or a procurement of any kind and does not create legally binding relations. This is a request for information to assess the availability or interest in operating a bike rental at Fort George National Historic Site.

Timeline

The Request for Expression of Interest process will open on October 1, 2024 and close on October 25, 2024 at 11:59 p.m.

Response Criteria

Respondents are requested to provide a concise response to this RFEI. Responses are requested in the following format:

• Brief company profile
• Name of key contact person, including telephone number, fax number and email address
• Information, advice, and recommendations as requested in this RFEI
