Founded in 1984, The Maidstone & Area Historical Society owns and operates the Maidstone Bicentennial Museum. Dedicated to preserving and showcasing the heritage and culture of the local area, Parks Canada is pleased to collaborate with Maidstone & Area Historical Society to create educational opportunities and promote the rich history of Amherstberg, Ontario. With a mission to brew beer, contribute to the local beer industry and educate the public on beer and the history of the community, GL Heritage Brewing Co. is inspired by family entrepreneurship, an affinity to all things which bring people together, and the desire to participate in their thriving community. Their family’s established roots continue the legacy of providing their neighbours with something which can connect everyone.
