About Le Boat
Le Boat came to Canada in 2018 after more than 50 years of offering houseboat vacations in over 8 different countries across Europe. They offer visitors with no previous boating experience a unique opportunity to connect with life on the water in exciting new ways. For boat owners, they provide a hassle-free alternative to their own vessel, with added space for larger groups.
Do you need boating experience?
Le Boat cruisers are safe and easy to drive, and they meet all government regulations. No previous boating experience is required and a boat-handling demonstration is given prior to departure. They are also completely bumpered for safety and have a capped speed of 10 km/h.

Pets
Dogs are welcome on-board your Le Boat cruiser, but are subject to Parks Canada Visitor Guidelines on the Rideau Canal National Historic Site.
Paddling
Canoes and/or kayaks may be brought onto your vessel during your journey. Rent from any of the several local outfitters along the canal, or bring your own. Plan a quiet day trip throughout stunning lakes and rivers, exploring remote shoreline and observing wildlife in its natural habitat.
Camping
Tent camping on shore is permitted at most lockstations on a first-come, first served basis. Camping is free to visitors on Le Boat vessels. Bring your own gear and let your kids spend the night on shore with a campfire under the stars.
