Info-Work: Temporary Delays at Brass Point Swing Bridge

Issued: July 24, 2019

Smiths Falls, Ontario, July 23, 2019 – Parks Canada advises that vehicles may experience delays at Brass Point Bridge (a part of Burnt Hills Road), along the Rideau Canal National Historic Site, on July 24, 2019. The work being performed on the bridge is part of the federal government’s investment program occurring at several locations along the Rideau Canal.

Every effort will be made to ensure that the work is conducted during regular bridge swings that take place as a part of normal, seasonal operation. Boater navigation will not be impacted.
Delays may be experienced for vehicular traffic and motorists are asked to plan accordingly. Parks Canada thanks you for your patience as we conduct this important work.

This work is part of the Government of Canada’s unprecedented $3 billion dollar investment in Parks Canada’s places to support infrastructure work to heritage, visitor, waterway, and highway assets within national parks, historic sites, and marine conservation areas across Canada.
