Guided tours
At the Sault Ste. Canal National Historic Site all visitors will find something that will meet their interests. The Site offers a guided site tour where you can embark on a journey through time with our knowledgeable interpreters and explore the fascinating history of the world's first electrically operated lock! As part of the tour, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the new exhibit in the historic Stores Building and Blacksmith's Shop. The entire experience lasts approximately one hour and involves a leisurely walk along a paved sidewalk spanning 1 km. If required, the tour can be tailored to meet specific requirements.
Please come and join us for a guided tour, a self-guided walk of the site, or a hike or stroll on the Attikamek Trail.
