Guided tours and group bookings
Woodside National Historic Site
Situated on a beautiful wooded property near the heart of Kitchener, Woodside National Historic Site offers a unique window into the Victorian traditions of the early 20th century. Picnic tables and public restrooms are available on site.
Guided tour: A Day in the Life at Woodside
Mackenzie King recalled the years his family spent at their home at Woodside as some of the happiest of his life. Take a step back in time to 1891 for a special tour of the King family residence in Victorian Ontario. This enhanced, small-group experience includes a guided 'behind the rope' tour of Woodside as well as access to artifacts dating from the late-19th century.
- Guided tours can be booked for up to 10 visitors max.
- Visitors can book in advance (preferred), or come to the site and request a same-day tour. Bookings are taken on a first-come, first-served basis and can be requested by email at woodsideontario@pc.gc.ca.

Group bookings
Interested in booking a visit for your school group or tour group? Please email woodsideontario@pc.gc.ca with the size of your group, and the date of your request.
Basic program:
- Duration: 60 minutes (15-minute history introduction; 45-minute self-guided)
- Participants: One class with a maximum 30 students
- Cost: $2.50/student. One adult chaperone per 10 youth receives complimentary general admission.
- Details: Introduction to the history and significance of Woodside NHS and its connection to Canada’s 10th Prime Minister, William Lyon Mackenzie King. Self-guided visit of the historic house. Chaperones are provided with information brochures and staff are in-house to answer questions.
