Getting here

The Fortifications of Québec are located in the Historic District of Old Québec in Québec City. The site is located just 2 hours 45 minutes from Montreal and 2 hours 15 minutes from Rivière-du-Loup.

The site of the Fortifications of Québec, including the ramparts, gates, and parks, have several access points throughout the city. We suggest you that you start your visit and speak with one of our guides at our visitor welcome centre in Artillery Park, located at 2 D’Auteuil Street. You can also go to the Frontenac kiosk on the Dufferin Terrace near the Château Frontenac.

The Dauphine Redoubt and the Arsenal Foundry are located in Artillery Park. Please present yourself to a Parks Canada guide in the Artillery Park to direct you to these places.
