Saint-Louis Forts and Châteaux National Historic Site

Revisit the past in the company of an interpreter-guide and, little by little, the secrets of the four forts and two Château Saint-Louis will be revealed as you discover the lifestyle of French and British governors who inhabited the sites. This archeological crypt will amaze you with all its treasures.

Your host and guide will lead you back in time. Beneath Dufferin Terrace, students will discover an archeological crypt packed with relics and artefacts. They will pass through the cooking facilities at the strategically located Château Saint-Louis, where meals were prepared for the many festive and diplomatic events held in the governors’ residence. This 60-minute guided tour will retrace more than 200 years of diplomatic history with the First Nations, you will learn more about the governors and Huron-Wendat diplomats, and find out about the alliances between these nations at the very place where decisions that left their mark on North America were made.

Parks Canada is pleased to offer free admission for youth at our parks and sites, however regular fees still apply for other experiences and services, such as school programs and guided tours.
