Getting here

The Forges du Saint-Maurice National Historic Site of Canada is located on the west side of the St. Maurice River, approximately 15 kilometres north of downtown Trois-Rivières.

To get there, take highway 55 north ("autoroute 55 nord") toward Shawinigan and take exit 191.
From downtown Trois-Rivières, it's as simple as heading north on the Boulevard des Forges.

Montréal 142 km

Take highway 40 east ("autoroute 40 est"). Before getting to Trois-Rivières, take highway 55 north ("autoroute 55 nord"). Take exit 191 and turn left towards Saint-Michel Boulevard. Turn right on this boulevard and drive to the end, where it meets Boulevard des Forges. Turn left, and stay on this boulevard for a few more minutes.

Québec City 157 km

Take highway 40 west ("autoroute 40 ouest"). At Trois-Rivières, take exit 199 for Boulevard des Forges. Turn right onto this boulevard and continue for another 20 minutes until reaching the Forges.

Shawinigan 40 km

Take highway 55 south ("autoroute 55 sud"). Before reaching Trois-Rivières, take exit 191 and turn right to reach Saint-Michel Boulevard. Turn right on the boulevard until you reach the end where it meets Boulevard des Forges. Turn left, and stay on this boulevard for a few more minutes.

Sherbrooke 158 km

Take highway 55 north ("autoroute 55 nord"). Then, head east (toward Québec City) on highway 20 (the Trans-Canada). After travelling a short distance, take exit 200 for Trois-Rivières and continue along route 155 north ("autoroute 155 nord")for approximately 25 minutes. At St-Célestin, turn right back onto highway 55 north ("autoroute 55 nord"). Once you have crossed the St. Lawrence River continue on to exit 191. Upon exiting turn right up to Saint-Michel Boulevard. Turn right on the boulevard until you reach the end where it meets Boulevard des Forges. Turn left, and stay on this boulevard for a few more minutes.
