Picnic and relaxation at the canal
Saint-Ours Canal National Historic Site
The Saint-Ours Canal National Historic Site includes a dam and lock, but also an island that highlights these two features of marine engineering. Take advantage of the picnic tables and the grassed areas available on Darvard Island for a picnic and relaxation. You'll be right in the heart of the Richelieu!
The Friends of the Saint-Ours Canal will welcome you to the superintendent's house. They can answer your questions and inform you about the activities available in the area. Take the opportunity to visit the exhibition on the history of Saint-Ours canalization and check out the local craft products sold in boutiques.
And if you plan to get to the Saint-Ours Canal on Canada Day, you can expect a more festive day!
