FIRE BAN - Effective July 26, 2024

Restricted activity order

Pursuant to section 7(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, a Restricted Activity Or- der has been instituted by the Superintendent, Saskatchewan South Field Unit, Parks Canada:

Why:

Visitor Safety - Due to dry weather conditions there is an increased risk of possible wildfires at the historic site.

Fire ban in effect

Due to these reasons open fires are not permitted at the historic site.

Where:

The entirety of Fort Walsh and Cypress Hills Massacre National Historic Sites.

Effective Date:
July 26, 2024 until further notice
