Winter Camping Authorization

From November 1 through April 14, pursuant to Section 16 of the National Historic Parks General Regulations, random camping is permitted, without a permit, within the Chilkoot Trail National Historic Site. This includes the Log Cabin Parking Lot, but does not include the Bennett City and Lindeman City Restricted Activity Areas, where camping is only permitted immediately next to the Day Use Cabins.

Winter Fire Authorization

From November 1 through April 14, pursuant to Section 25 of the National Historic Parks General Regulations, open fires are permitted in the Log Cabin Parking Lot, but must be within a self-contained fire pan or drum.  Open fires elsewhere within the Chilkoot Trail National Historic Site are prohibited.
