Learn to Camp Gear Library
The Learn to Camp program helps provide camping gear for Yukon schools and non-profits that work with Yukon youth.
The S.S. Klondike is located on the banks of the Yukon River on the outskirts of downtown Whitehorse. Enjoy a video presentation, the Xplorer activity booklet for kids or take a guided tour with one of our heritage interpreters. And be sure to check out our gift shop!
How to get here
Directions
Whitehorse is easily accessed by air from Vancouver, Kelowna, Edmonton, Calgary and Ottawa. Many visitors take the Alaska Highway from B.C., Alberta or Alaska.
A pedestrian trail following the Yukon River is a pleasant way to reach the site from downtown or Robert Service Campground.
Alternately, you can get to the site via Whitehorse Transit bus.
If you choose to drive to the site there is ample parking with pull through stalls for RVs and trailers.
