WHAT: Pursuant to Section 7(1) of the Canada National Parks Act General Regulations, the following area is closed to all public use and travel by order of the Superintendent, Mount Revelstoke and Glacier national parks:

WHERE: West park boundary from Fidelity Mountain south to the Trans Canada Highway, east to Bostock Creek, north to Christiana Ridge, west to Fidelity Mountain. UTM NAD 83 463443/5679796 to 463443/5679796 to 463443/5679796 to 451097/5675809 to 451097/5675809.

WHY: This closure is in effect to support year-round avalanche operations, including avalanche forecasting, and to ensure the safety of the public.

PENALTY: Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act. Maximum penalty $25 000.
