WHAT: Pursuant to subsection 36(1) of the Canada National Parks Act General Regulations, the following area is closed to all traffic and travel by order of the Superintendent, Mount Revelstoke and Glacier National Parks:

WHERE: Mount Sir Donald Campground and Picnic Area.

WHY: A spruce beetle invasion has infected many trees at this campground and picnic area. For the safety of visitors, this facility is closed to the public until the danger trees can be eliminated. No camping and no picnicking is permitted until further notice.

PENALTY: Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act. Maximum penalty $25 000.
