Prohibited Activity Order: Camping at Beaumont Campground

Pursuant to Section 7(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, the following activities are hereby prohibited by order of the Superintendent, Gulf Islands National Park Reserve of Canada:

Camping at Beaumont Campground from March 1st, 2022 until further notice.

For the purpose of this order, “camping” means to occupy, reside on or camp on, or erect or use any structure in the campground at any time, and includes sleeping in any vehicle or in the open air.

The purpose of this order is to enhance visitor experience and safety, and to protect the natural and cultural resources of the park.  

Contravention of this order may result in fines or prosecution pursuant to the Canada National Parks Act.
