WHAT:
Access and entry into the Walcott Quarry and talus slope is prohibited.

WHERE: Yoho National Park
This area is indicated in red on the attached map and is legally described as within the UTM NAD 83 coordinates 536200/569993 to 536500/5698400 to 537000/5698500 to 536500/5699400.
Information about registered Guided Hikes may be obtained from the Visitor Information Centre in Field.

WHY: Protection of Burgess Shale fossils. RAISON : Conservation de les fossiles des Schistes de Burgess.

PENALTY: Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act: maximum penalty
$25 000.
