About
Twin Falls Tea House National Historic Site
Hike the trail to Twin Falls Tea House to enjoy a double reward: breathtaking views of the phenomenal Twin Falls and a chance to see an historic log tea house built more than a century ago as an excursion for visitors stopping in Field, B.C. while travelling by rail across the Rockies. Stop at the historic tea house to admire its unique architectural design, typical of park architecture in the early 1900s. Check out the massive peeled and unpeeled logs in the three-part structure, the hand-hewn shingles and iconic sign above the door. Stand under the spray of the surging side-by-side waterfalls. Climb above the falls for postcard-perfect views. Continue over the Whaleback trail for views of the Yoho Glacier. Camp on tent pads and listen to the roaring tumble of Twin Falls or Laughing Falls.
