SUPERINTENDENT’S ORDER

RIDING MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK DRONE AND UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE USE

Pursuant to section 2 (1) of the National Parks of Canada Aircraft Access Regulations, it is prohibited to take-off or land an aircraft in Riding Mountain National Park without permission from the park superintendent.

• UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), Model Aircraft and Drones are all defined as aircraft under the regulations.
• The superintendent may only authorise the use of aircraft for the purposes of natural or cultural resource management, management directly related to the administration of the park, public safety or law enforcement.

These regulations will be enforced within the boundaries of Riding Mountain National Park.
