What:

Pursuant to Section 7(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, the following activities are prohibited by order of the Superintendent:

Smoking or vaping of cannabis in any outdoor public place in the park with the exception of the following areas:

• Registered campsites (between the hours of 7:00 am – 11:00 pm)
• Private residences 

Cannabis consumption is not permitted outside of individual campsites and private residences.

Why:

To promote a quality visitor experience and to enhance the safety and enjoyment of public areas.

NOTE:

It is an offence under the Canada National Parks Act to contravene any Regulation. Failure to comply may result in immediate cancellation of the camping permit, eviction from the campground and violators may be charged.
