As of October 31st, 2024, seasonal maintenance of the Rolling River Road in Riding Mountain National Park will end. The road will not be maintained over the winter months and is expected to open again on May 1st, 2025. The gate will be locked during the seasonal closure, but pedestrian access will still be available. Safety is a shared responsibility. Parks Canada reminds visitors that anyone travelling into unmaintained areas is responsible for their own safety. See map.
