Restricted activity - Pleasure Craft use in Riding Mountain National Park

What:
Pursuant to Section 7(1) of the National Parks General Regulations, of the Canada National Parks Act, the following activity is restricted or prohibited by order of the Superintendent:
- Pleasure Craft use is restricted except in accordance with a permit issued under Section 7(5) of the National Parks General Regulations.
- All pleasure craft must undergo an inspection by Parks Canada AIS inspector(s) and possess a valid AIS Inspection Permit.
- Comply with Clean, Drain, Dry requirements.
Note: Note: Pleasure Craft include, but are not limited to: canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, rafts, and inflatable watercraft.
Where:
All waterbodies within Riding Mountain National Park, excluding Clear Lake
Why:
To reduce potential introduction and spread of Aquatic Invasive Species.
Note:
Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act. Maximum Penalty $25,000
