What:

Pursuant to Sections 16(1)(a) and 16(1)(k) of the National Parks Highway Traffic Regulations, reduced rates of speed and increased traffic control measures are in effect on Highway 10 in Riding Mountain National Park.

Reduced rate of speed: 60 kilometres per hour.

Where:

Highway 10 in both directions between Kilometre Markers 5 and 12.

Why:

For wildlife management purposes and to reduce the likeliness of collisions with wildlife.

Note:

Violators may be charged under the Canada National Parks Act, National Parks Highway Traffic Regulations and/or Manitoba Highway Traffic Act.
