Fundy National Park

Lend a hand in a weed pull!

Invasive plants pose a serious threat to the native plant and animal species found within Fundy National Park. Become a valuable part of our efforts to protect natural habitats by helping us to remove unwanted plants, one weed at a time!

With the help of park staff, volunteers will learn how to identify invasive plants and the best way to manually remove them. Following an orientation session, volunteers are led to a patch of the species where the plant is removed in an effort to minimize future spread and improve the condition of the invasive plant species index.

Examples of invasive plant species found in our region: Woodland Angelica, Japanese Knotweed, Canary Reed Grass.
