Outport trail
Terra Nova National Park
Cross the suspension bridge at Big Brook to embark on Terra Nova's longest trail.
Trek through a variety of forest types including a dry, sandy area laden with caribou moss and a pocket of pine trees. Roughly 9 km in the trail, branch off to climb the summit of Mount Stamford (1.2 km one way) and soak in the panoramic views. Once you have rested up from the big climb, continue on to the ghost settlement of Minchins Cove and discover remnants of past human use.
