Terra Nova National Park
Welcome to Terra Nova National Park. The park is located in eastern Newfoundland, approximately 200 km west of St. John's and 60 km east of Gander.
By car
Terra Nova National Park is 250 kilometres (155 miles) northwest of St. John's, Newfoundland, and 60 kilometres (37 miles) southeast of Gander. Easily accessible by car, the Trans-Canada Highway runs through the park.
Chartered bus service

Personal watercraft
Terra Nova National Park is accessible by sea along the northeastern coast of Newfoundland. Inner Newman Sound has excellent docking facilities, while the outer coves have wharves. The park also has several boat launches: one in inner Newman Sound at Salton's Brook and another at the mouth of Southwest Arm in Alexander Bay.

The closest airport is Gander International Airport, approximately 60 kilometres (37 miles). The next closest airport is St. John’s International Airport, approximately 250 kilometers (155 miles).

Ferry service
Newfoundland is accessible by ferry from Nova Scotia or Labrador.
From Nova Scotia, Marine Atlantic operates year-round crossings between North Sydney, Nova Scotia to Port-aux-Basques, Newfoundland. An additional service between North Sydney and Argentia, Newfoundland is offered from mid-June to late September.
The island is also accessible by ferry service from Labrador. Please visit Labrador Marine for more information on one of the three passenger boats.
