Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site
Notice of management and control of public campgrounds: Establishment of quiet hours and inspection in public campgrounds

EFFECTIVE DATE:
Until further notice.
RESTRICTED ACTIVITIES:
Pursuant to section 14 of the National Parks of Canada Camping Regulations, the following activities are hereby PROHIBITED by order of the Superintendent, Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site of Canada.
Hours between 2300hrs and 0700hrs of the following day shall be deemed “Quiet Hours”
- Visitors are asked to return to their own sites if camping or to vacate the campground if not staying in the campground.
- Radios and musical devised are to be turned off.
- No loud shouting or singing.
- No idling of vehicles.
WHERE:
All campgrounds are affected by this Notice; including Jeremy’s Bay Campground, Jim Charles Point Group Campground, cabins, Yurts, o’TENTiks, and primitive back-country campgrounds.
This includes all areas within the campgrounds including all drive in sites, walk in sites, playgrounds, shelters, roads and trails within Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site of Canada.
WHY:
To minimise the degree of noise and disturbance to campers and enhance the safety and enjoyment of this public campground in Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site of Canada.
NOTE:
It is an offence under the Canada National Parks Act to contravene these prohibitions. Failure to comply may result in immediate cancellation of the camping permit, eviction from the campground and violators may be charged. Camping fees will not be refunded.
