Point Pelee National Park is the most southern point of mainland Canada, in an area called the Carolinian zone.
Climate
Geography and the moderating effects of Lake Erie have allowed southern plants and animals to flourish at Point Pelee.
Ecosystems and habitats
There are five main habitats in Point Pelee National Park: Lake Erie sand spit savannah, marsh, swamp forest, dry forest, and beach.
