Point Pelee National Park
Tip Tower remains closed
Issued: October 12, 2023
The safety of our visitors and staff is of the utmost importance to Parks Canada. In May 2022, a construction issue was identified with the Tip Tower guard rail system. Parks Canada is working towards a solution to meet the agency’s high standards in visitor safety. We do plan to reopen the tower but unfortunately, we cannot offer a timeline for reopening the tower at this time.
Parks Canada recognizes that visitors wish to experience the unique 360-degree Tip Tower in Point Pelee National Park, but public access will only be permitted when the tower is certified to be safe for use. We appreciate your patience as we work towards completing this project to ensure a safe, high-quality experience for this offer.
The Tip area remains available for visitors.
