Happy holidays, joyeuses fêtes, minawaangozwin

Pukaskwa National Park

Three people sitting in a wigwam eating blueberries

This season is a time to gather with friends and family, to feast and celebrate the achievements of the past, and plan ventures for the coming year. Over the past year, many of you have collaborated with us on Canada 150 events. These special activities, along with free admission to national protected areas, meant that Parks Canada had a banner year in terms of visitation.

Starting January 1, 2018, admission to Parks Canada places for youth 17 and under will be free! So, there really is no better time to create lasting memories with the whole family.

We consider you part of our extended family, and thank you for continuing to show an interest in Canada’s network of national parks, marine conservation areas and historic sites. As such, we hope to work with many of you in the coming year, and continue protecting and presenting these special places for present and future generations.

On behalf of Parks Canada's team in Northern Ontario, I would like to wish you and your loved ones a safe and happy holiday season!

Sincerely,

Bill Brake
Acting Field Unit Superintendent
Parks Canada – Northern Ontario
