Surfguards are on duty at several beaches in the summer months, working to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for beachgoers. Prepare for your visit and learn about water safety before you swim. Surf conditions are posted from July 1 to Labour Day on PEI Now: Park Updates.

A mobile surf guard service will have a regular presence moving along the coastline from east to west, evaluating conditions, sharing safety messaging with beachgoers, and responding to calls as required at supervised and non-supervised beaches. More beaches in Prince Edward Island National Park will be covered as surf guards will have flexibility to move where there is need throughout the park.
