Ivvavik National Park
Special Fishing Restrictions
Issued: April 23, 2024
Pursuant to subsection 35(1) of the National Parks of Canada Fishing Regulations, the following special restrictions are in place within Ivvavik National Park:
- Daily catch and possession limit for Dolly Varden char is 1 fish;
- Aggregate daily catch and possession limit for all species is 3 fish;
AND - The following areas (as per the attached map) are closed to angling:
- Firth River Fish Holes;
- Aufeis Area from Margaret Lake upstream to the park boundary;
- Joe Creek Fish Holes area from Aspen Creek upstream to park boundary;
- Trout Lake;
- Roland Lake;
- Babbage River upstream of Babbage Falls;
- Two small unnamed lakes located at 69° 25' 47.3"N, 139° 38' 32.8"W and 69° 25' 33.5" N, 139° 37' 43.1"W
Anglers are reminded that they must possess a valid National Park Fishing Permit, and follow the National Parks of Canada Fishing Regulations when fishing in National Parks. Permits are available from the Parks Canada office in Inuvik.
