Fly a kite through time

On a beautiful day at Fort Beauséjour, when the sun shines bright, feel the cool marsh breeze on your face, as you tour the site’s broad grassy slopes. You might spot bald eagles and red-winged blackbirds in air, along with some colourful diamond shapes.

Across the landscape, you might find colourful kites flying through the ruins of this 17th and 18th century fort. Because the fort is built on a high ridge, the wind blows fast across the waters of the Cumberland Basin and the Northumberland Strait. Here, kids of all ages can let their imaginations run wild – just like their kites!

While the kids run and fly, you can relax on one of the site's benches and take in sweeping views of the countryside, the Bay of Fundy, and Tantramar marshes.
