Fort Beauséjour – Fort Cumberland National Historic Site

Plan to spend two to three hours exploring the ruins, exhibits and artefacts of the fascinating star-shaped fort that changed the course of Canadian history. The beautiful site is situated in Aulac, New Brunswick, at the head of the Bay of Fundy, on the border between New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. You’ll find it a 45‑minute drive southeast of Moncton, or two hours north of Halifax.

Pursuant to 12(1) of the National Historic Parks General Regulations, it is prohibited to use a metal detector within Fort Beauséjour – Fort Cumberland National Historic Site of Canada.

Anyone found in violation of this notice may be prosecuted under Section 24(2) of the Canada National Parks Act.

The beautiful site is situated in Aulac, New Brunswick, at the head of the Bay of Fundy, on the border between New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

You’ll find it a 45‑minute drive southeast of Moncton, or two hours north of Halifax.

Take exit 513A off the Trans-Canada Highway 2 and watch closely for the Parks Canada signs.
