For your safety
To have a safe visit, please observe the following:
- Please closely supervise children.
- The Habitation is partially accessible for those with mobility limitations.
- Please note that the lighting in the Habitation is low, and there are low doorways, uneven steps and floors.
The grounds are open year-round. There is no winter maintenance.
Visitor guidelines
Drones
All Parks Canada places are "no drone zones" for recreational use. Please leave your drone at home. Use of drones at Parks Canada places
Metal detectors
It is prohibited to use a metal detector within Port-Royal National Historic Site.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in the complex.
Pets
Pets on a leash are allowed on the grounds. Only service pets are permitted inside the courtyard and buildings.
No camping
Camping is not permitted at Port-Royal National Historic Site.
There is camping nearby at Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site.
