Prohibited Activities

The following activities are prohibited in The Pingo Canadian Landmark National Historic Site, pursuant to section 12(1) of the National Historic Parks General Regulations:

• Recreational use of all-terrain vehicles, dirt bikes or any other type of off-road vehicle (except snowmobiles) anywhere within The Pingo Canadian Landmark at any time of year.
• Recreational use of snowmobiles anywhere within The Pingo Canadian Landmark from April 15 to October 31 each year.
• Recreational use of snowmobiles at any time of year on the actual pingos (from the base upwards to the summit).
• Hiking on the actual pingo (from the base upwards to the summit) from April 15 to October 31.
